Launches New Artist Collective With the Signing of Singer/songwriter and Multi-instrumentalist Jackie Greene

San Francisco, CA: Joe Poletto, Founder of Blue Rose Music, today announced a partnership agreement with musician Jackie Greene. Blue Rose Music is an artist collective that brings a technology start-up structure to the music business, with comprehensive, value based business development and guidance for the artist. This unique venture will apply sophisticated brand development and marketing strategies to increase Greene’s successful touring business while providing creative support with a forward leaning approach to recording and publishing.

Greene’s debut album for Blue Rose Music will be released later this year, with fans being treated to a stream of creative and musical content leading up to the street and digital release date. A full-length concert film of the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is also in the works, scheduled to film during Greene’s forthcoming Sweetwater To Sweetwater tour. As both a solo artist and band front man, Greene has a vast amount of experience both in the studio and onstage, serving as the lead guitarist for the Black Crowes “Lay Down With Number 13” worldwide tour, as leader (with Joan Osborne) of the super group Trigger Hippy and as a frequent member of the Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh’s touring ensemble Phil Lesh & Friends. As a trail blazing new business model for the music industry, Blue Rose Music will assist in the business and creative development of select musicians and projects. Founded by Joe Poletto (who has over three decades of experience in media and technology, serving at an executive level for Microsoft, WebTV, HBO and Comedy Central) the intention of the company is to both nurture and enable artists to reach their creative and financial goals while supporting each other in their craft. As a business with a social conscience, Blue Rose Music donates a portion of all revenue to The Blue Rose Foundation, which provides pre-school scholarships to financially disadvantaged children. In making the announcement, Joe Poletto states: “We are incredibly excited to have Jackie join the Blue Rose Music family. We are developing a new and previously un-charted type of business model in this industry that has been designed to benefit the artist in every way. Our goal is to encourage creativity and fiscal stability and I believe that all Blue Rose Music artists will feel a sense of community and support during both the creation and release of their music. This is something that we can all be proud of.” Adds Jackie Greene: “I am excited about joining Blue Rose Music and appreciate Joe’s unique vision to support music and artists in a non-traditional and financially progressive way. I look forward to working with the artist friendly and forward thinking Blue Rose team on my upcoming releases and growing my touring business.” Upcoming releases from Blue Rose Music include Jackie Greene, David Luning, “An American Troubadour: The Songs of Steve Forbert,” The Dead Sailor Girls, Gwyneth Moreland, Jason Crosby and Elliott Peck.
