New Tim Bluhm Merle Haggard Tribute Album Available for Pre-Order

Tim Bluhm plays tribute to Merle Haggard on this carefully crafted and seamlessly performed collection of 11 of Merle Haggard’s greatest compositions. Recorded at Tim Bluhm's home with a dizzying array of vintage instruments, world-class microphones, and collectible gear, Hag Heaven is a carefully crafted and seamlessly performed album. Tim co-produced the album with Mark Adams and rallied session players: Dave Zirbel, Megan Lynch Chowning, Aidan Collins, and Daryl VanDruff. "I was probably about 22 when I first really heard Merle Haggard sing," says Tim. " I had already been in a rock band for about 3 years. I was so attracted to his lyrics and the way he delivered them. He sang with such effortlessness and honesty, and he was good at humor too." The limited release album opener and recently released single is Tim’s interpretation of Haggard’s classic, “Am I Standing in Your Way.” Bluhm says, "This song embodies the attitude for which I love Merle Haggard so much. The lyrics are forlorn yet he delivers them with a steadfastness that makes you feel good. He tempers vulnerability with fortitude," says Tim. This album is a musical evolution from Tim’s spring 2020 release, Gone With The Windshield, and it's yet another great collaboration between Tim and Blue Rose Music. In fact, Tim was one of the first artists Blue Rose Music founder Joe Poletto signed. “I was fortunate enough to start working with Joe at Blue Rose about four years ago. He’s got such a good ear for picking songs and he has encouraged me to record and release as many records as I possibly could. It’s been great to have that support and faith. When you feel like you’re believed in, it’s amazing what you can do," says Tim. And this new album definitely does showcase Tim's talent.
