Country Living: Morgane Stapleton Makes First Appearance at CMA Awards Following Pregnancy Announcement

At the 2018 CMA Awards, Chris and Morgane Stapleton joined Maren Morris and Mavis Staples for an incredible live performance of Chris's song, "Friendship," which some fans have hailed as the best (and most moving) performance of the night. The appearance marked the couple's first since announcing they're expecting their fifth child—just seven months after Morgane gave birth to twins!

The couple stole the show, Chris in a black jacket outfitted with fringe and cowboy hat and Morgane in a long-sleeve sparkly black dress.

It was a monumental night for Chris, who was nominated a whopping five times for his hit tracks.

Not only was Chris up for the evening's biggest award, Entertainer of the Year, but he also took away the trophies for Male Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Song of the Year. (Entertainer of the Year ended up going to Keith Urban.)

During his acceptance speech for the Male Vocalist win, he made sure to thank his wife, whom he called "his rock." The songwriters met in 2003 then married four years later, in 2007.

"I'm on the road a lot, and I don't get to always be the dad I would like to be...my wife, she sacrifices so I can be on the road," Chris said, seemingly holding back tears. He went on to mention the couple's kids, including their older son and daughter, their twin baby boys, and the new baby on the way. (We're not crying, you're crying!)
