Phil Lesh has revealed who he’ll perform with when the former Grateful Dead bassist takes the stage to close the inaugural Beach Road Weekend, which takes place at Veterans Memorial Park in Martha’s Vineyard, MA the weekend of August 9th-11th.
Lesh will be joined in his festival-closing headlining set by frequent “Phil & Friends” collaborators in Eric Krasno, Nicki Bluhm, Cris Jacobs, Jason Crosby, and John Molo.
The event also announced the lineup for its “The MV Stage” on Friday, which is where local artists will get the chance to showcase their music during the regional festival. Artists set to perform at the smaller stage include former Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando, Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish, and The Phil Darosa Project.
The new three-day music event will also feature performances by John Fogerty, Grace Potter, Dispatch, Galactic, Matisyahu, The Original Wailers, Alejandro Escovedo, Mason Jennings, and the North Mississippi Allstars. Beach Road Weekend will also feature a special screening of Jaws: Film In Concert, with accompanying music performed by The Cape Symphony.
The festival is being promoted by Adam Epstein, CEO of Innovation Arts and Entertainment, which also puts on the Summer Concert Series on the island.
