Cris Jacobs will release his new studio album Color Where You Are on April 12 via Blue Rose Music. The singer-songwriter also detailed a new round of tour dates in support of the forthcoming LP.
Jacobs along with his backing band Todd Herrington (bass), Dusty Ray Simmons (percussionist), and Jonathan Sloane (guitar) self-produced the 10-track album together. “I’m trying to connect with people,” shared Jacobs. “To express real-life human emotions and make people feel things. To hopefully have people walk away feeling lighter or happier or more inspired to be a better person in some way after listening.” Additionally, the Americana musician has unveiled a headlining run that begins on April 4 at Great Scott in Boston. The newly announced gigs include stops in New York City, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Richmond.
