Release Date:
Downloads include choice of MP3, WAV, or FLAC
Released in 2005, this is the debut solo acoustic recording from Tim Bluhm, the front man of the earthy pop jam band Mother Hips based in Northern California. For the previous five years, Bluhm had lived in a '95 Chevy Sportsvan and drifted up and down the Golden State, pitching his tent on a plot of California's imagination. In California Way, Bluhm presents the most stripped-down (and pure) recordings of his career. Backed only by his guitar, he recorded this album in two days. Fog City label owner/Producer Dan Prothero, initially knowing little about Bluhm, was won over by the haunting collection of songs that he calls a "love-letter from and about a disappearing place."
